The Sandman

Digital marketing launch for Neil Gaiman’s star-studded Audible Original on social media.

As Audible continues to pioneer audio content and experiences, they brought a first-of-its-kind social activation, Drawn From The Dreaming, to life with an old school twist to celebrate the newest Audible Original, Neil Gaiman’s audio adaptation of his best-selling graphic novels,
The Sandman.

In partnership with DC Comics, Audible invited talent, influencers, press and fans alike to share one of their wildest dreams — or “visits to The Dreaming” — for a chance to have it brought to life by a top DC artist and shared to a branded Instagram gallery, @DrawnfromtheDreaming.

Fans were able to share their dreams online or by calling 515-SANDMAN, a custom hotline experience narrated by Neil Gaiman. 125 dreams in total were selected for illustration and a roster of celebs/influencers e.g. Yvette Nicole Brown, Aisha Tyler, LeVar Burton, and more shared their dreams to help launch the celebration.

To further promote The Sandman, Audible produced a panel hosted by lifelong Gaiman fan Kevin Smith, debuting at the first virtual New York Comic Con x MCM Comic Con Metaverse in October.
