Amid Covid-19, McDonald’s leadership faced a massive challenge: pivot the company’s National Conference (its largest, system-wide annual convening) and regional Field Office Summits into a virtual event designed to spotlight progress, recognize opportunities and build momentum heading into 2021-2022.
McDonald’s condensed months of programming into one, week-long virtual event for 5k+ execs/franchisees, keeping the audience highly engaged with broadcast-quality live and pre-recorded content, plus Q&As, virtual networking, supplier showcases and other bespoke interactive moments.
Comedian Keegan-Michael Key hosted the program and McDonald’s aired a special edition of Sean Evans’ beloved web-series ‘Hot Ones’ with guest Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA. The week culminated with McDonald’s National Awards ceremony and celebration.
McDonald’s also brought its Together Bench, outfitted with a LED wall, to McDonald’s locations nationwide, capturing real-time video conversations between HQ and local customers and team members to remind us that we’re all still “together” while “apart.”
