TBS and Tracy Morgan gave back to Brooklyn by tapping into the food-focused entrepreneurialism of The Last O.G.‘s 2nd season. Garden Party For Good explored issues of nutritional inequality, distributed community meals in collaboration with James Beard award-winning celebrity chef, JJ Johnson, and unveiled much needed upkeep to the Hattie Carthan Community Garden during a special celebration.
The project grew O.G. love on a Bed-Stuy landmark in partnership with GrowNYC and a number of national nonprofits working to combat issues of hunger, social justice, and youth empowerment. Revitalization of the garden aims to supply families with fresh produce in a neighborhood classified as a food desert.
